For example there are dozens of penstemons, gilias, and paint-brushes, all very similar to one another. This book includes a general description and illustration for all of those similar plants within a group. Each sample plant is described as to likely location, description of the plant, uses if any, common name, and a line drawing. There are several pages of color photos, as well. The book is divided, like most flower identification guides, by the color of flower.
